Bernard Friot! Drôle et educatif!

France has an author for children that has a great educational site. He writes stories, poems and has even written musical poems. My advanced students and beginners alike will love his works!

Genius Hour

What if as a student you could spend time learning about anything you wished?
What if you could explore this topic on a regular weekly basis?
Watch this video. It has a lot to do with my DRIVE project, self-immersion.
I required my students to immerse themselves in French by spending time studying French via the venue of their choice, be it studying cooking, listening to music or watching videos. As long as the topic was in French and it interested them, it was fair game, and they were not graded, only encouraged to do it for a minimum of ten minutes per day on a daily basis. I wanted to see the relationship between students grades and the amount of time spent on self-immersion. I hypothesized that students who spent time learning French for enjoyment without set parameters would have overall better mastery. I am still convinced that my hypothesis is correct.

Veggies in French!

Here is a fun French site with kids games too! It's all about French tomatoes and cucumbers. French veggies are some of the tastiest I've ever had. Flavorful vegetables is a French passion.
Go here to visit!
To my students: Allez et mangez bien!

To Parents: Look at the class tabs, find your student's class, 6th, 7th etc, and click on the tab. I have relocated them to the top of the blog page to make them easier to find. Let me know what you think! This is where you can learn about what your students have been doing.
Bon Weekend,
